Lindy & Friends or abbreviated “L.A.F.” (Laugh) company, is made up of a “family” of friends who are inspired by God’s love for children, and the complete enjoyment of educating those “small hearts” more about the wonderful creations that were “gifted” to us.
Children are those that have the purest of hearts, the kindest of thoughts and they enjoy the simple act of “learning” more than any other human. They inspire fun and exciting moments in adults, and those of us that are already grown that have sometimes, lost our way in the world of “self-enterprise” –find moments when a child presents the most awesome and heartwarming love for life– and it is never so remembered than the moment when we hear the sound of that love than in a child’s laugh (L.A.F.).
We wish to reach even the most hidden places on earth with our products and also help those in need by carrying on our philosophy –It’s to better give than to receive. We promote diversity and multi-cultural interactions believing the world would be a much better place if we understand and love each other more. We nurture diversity because it makes the world rich, fun and interesting.
Lindy & Friends goes around the world sharing a message of love, peace, and hope through each unique product. We offer an adorable, colorful, stylish and fun line of backpacks, lunch bags, pencil cases, coin pouches, and also handmade plush toys, shoes, clothing, and hair accessories that are crafted with delicacy by women in the USA. It’s three generations –grandmother, mother, and daughter– of women working together for a dream.

More About Us
Meet Linda
Linda P. Romero is the creator of Lindy & Friends. She earned a Bachelor of Design from the Prestigious School of Architecture of the University of Florida, and also studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She is a passionate self-taught illustrator that loves creating, innovating and always enjoys learning new skills.
She discovered her passion for kids and teaching in her teens and since then she has been involved with designing creative learning strategies for kids, Sunday School Curriculum and leading the Kid’s Ministry where she goes. Linda and her husband, Pr. Haziel Ortega, have been missionaries for more than 15 years and are currently pastors of a church in California, USA.
Beginnings
What started as a hobby, became a motivation to embark an original project. Since she was a little girl, Art and Creative Writing were her favorites subjects in school. At times she would get in trouble for drawing funny cartoons of her teachers and classmates. Throughout her life, she continued to cultivate her creative skills.
After experiencing a difficult professional moment, Linda created Lindy & Friends. Her family and involvement in the Kid’s Ministry, inspired her to create the characters. And as she loves saying: “God is Almighty, and has the power to turn everything to good for those who love him -Rom 8:28”, and not only because it is a cliché but because she experienced it herself in the most vivid way possible.
3 Generations of Women
Grandmother, mother, and daughter working together for a dream! Linda grew up watching with curiosity her grandmother Carmen designing and sewing clothing, promoting the Art of Crochet and Knitting. Carmen was born in a poor family but her hard-working spirit and intelligence helped her become a successful entrepreneur in her hometown–which was rare for her time and culture. She is a lovely woman passionate for Christ who taught her family values and gave example with her life. She was one of the first persons to believe and invest in Lindy & Friends.
Mariela is Linda’s mom, friend, and partner. Mariela is also an example of faith, perseverance, overcoming obstacles and achieving success. She is a Civil Engineer who came to the USA as an immigrant with 4 teenage children, and now holds a manager position at a recognized multi-national company. Lindy & Friends is now a reality thanks to women like Mariela. All of our handmade products are Made in the USA by Women and crafted with delicacy and love.
